I am a big fan of Tenstar
For almost a decade, Tenstar and Leica Geosystems has collaborated to pair machine control solutions with Tenstar simulators, providing extensive training possibilities for machine operators who are new to machine control.
- RUNE LODALL, Global Aftermarket Manager at Leica Geosystems
Rune Lodall has been at Leica Geosystems for 6.5 years and is responsible for service and support, as well as providing training opportunities to operators.
“I am a big fan of Tenstar! My team works everyday creating high quality training programs for internal staff and operators using Leica Geosystems’ machine control solutions. One of the challenges we are facing is how to educate the increasing number of young people entering the world of machine control within a safe and efficient environment. In this respect Tenstar’s simulators fit like a glove.”
He also shared some thoughts on the cooperation between our companies:
“It is a positive experience where everything goes very smoothly. We share a high focus on quality from both sides - we speak the same language. There is a great willingness to succeed together and create a product where the operator is the main focus.”
Since Leica are increasingly using simulation in their training program for operators, we wanted to know Rune Lodall thoughts on simulation as a whole:
“Simulation is definitely the way to go. The learning curve is shorter and easier to grasp. Practising using a real machine is unsafe, particularly for the instructor standing next to it. This is where simulation has a clear advantage, as it provides a safe environment for both operators and instructors. In addition, you can also train several people at the same time, maximizing the efficiency of the training process.”
Thank you Rune, for providing great input on our collaboration from Leica Geosystems’ perspective!
Welcome to our world of simulation.
