TENSTAR TRUCK offers a full-scale training tool for the education and training on a long haulage truck with trailer. Containing a full simulator with realistic audio and visual display, it provides self-instructive exercises that portray reallife environments. Two screens on the left and right simulate the side mirrors.
Educational workflow
The TENSTAR TRUCK concept focuses on training of basic driving skills and vehicle handling. Training includes exercises to drive and navigate a truck with a trailer. The driver also trains using the rear-view mirrors to check the trailer’s position. The simulator includes two additional side displays that simulate the right and left mirror
The exercises include elements such as:
- Introduction to the truck; learning it’s structure and maintenance procedures
- Driving a slalom course of cones
- Backwards driving in slalom course
- Precision reversing towards a wharf
- Maneuvering from parked position to a new position
- Backing the truck with lateral movements
Strong attention is paid on learning safe and economical driving.
